Yoga comes from the Sanskrit “yuj”, meaning “yoke” or “union”. In yoga, we yoke the breath and movements to bring union of the mind and body. This ancient practice is both spiritual and physical. By learning to combine effort and ease on the mat, we can bring the tools of yoga off of the mat and into our everyday lives. Sheena is qualified to teach both Vinyasa (fast flows and active poses) and Yin (passive poses and meditative atmosphere) yoga styles, to make yoga work for you.
Private yoga sessions can be held in your home or at Sheena’s home studio in Johannesburg. Private sessions are ideal if you are very busy, recovering from an injury (or maintaining a healed injury), if you’d like to work towards a goal or if you just don’t enjoy group classes. Sheena develops personalised flows for each person she works with to give them individualised attention.
Yoga classes can be taught at your office for you on your own, or you and your colleagues. Classes are inclusive and open to all levels of experience with customized classes to suit everyone present. For some, it may their first experience with yoga and sharing the joy of yoga practice with work peers can be amazing. End the day of hard work feeling rejuvenated and relax while you skip the traffic.
